We are seeking an organised and proactive

Administrator

to manage and implement the operational framework of two postgraduate programmes (Diploma and MSc) and support the activities of a research centre. This is a varied role involving student and programme administration, financial coordination, event delivery, and academic support.


The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 20.38 per hour + holiday pay


Key Responsibilities:



Programme Administration:



Oversee admissions, student records, examinations, and coordination of teaching and course materials. Organise student workshops, a residential programme, and the graduation ceremony, in partnership with the Events Team. Coordinate workshop logistics including budgeting, marketing, guest management, on-the-day delivery, and post-event administration. Support financial activities, including budget setting, tutor payments, and fee processing. Manage and improve administrative processes relating to student progression and assessment. Maintain accurate and engaging website content in collaboration with the Faculty Communications Team.

Selection Criteria:



Educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Demonstrable experience in a comparable administrative role with transferable skills. Experience of supervising the work of another member of staff, and the ability to delegate effectively Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A flexible and proactive approach to work, including availability to work occasional out-of-hours events. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and act diplomatically under pressure. Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement. Financial literacy, including experience with budgeting and expense monitoring. Strong IT skills, particularly MS Word and Excel.
