Job Description

We're looking for an organised, approachable, and proactive Administrator to join our friendly care home team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Home, providing vital administrative support to the Home Manager, staff, residents, and visitors.

Reporting to the Registered Manager successful candidates will have the following attributes:

Person Specification



Friendly, professional, and confident communicating with residents, families, and colleagues. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Strong IT and administrative skills. Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities



Provide a warm welcome to visitors and ensure sign-in procedures are followed. Answer and direct telephone calls professionally, taking accurate messages. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, newspapers, and deliveries. Support the Home Manager with general administrative tasks, meetings, staff rotas, and record keeping. Handle resident admissions and discharges, ensuring all required paperwork and contracts are accurately completed and filed. Maintain residents' financial and personal records, including personal monies and care contracts. Support the recruitment process: obtain references, complete DBS checks, prepare induction paperwork, and notify Head Office of new starters and leavers. Maintain accurate staff records including holidays, sickness, training, and payroll information. Order supplies and uniforms as directed by the Home Manager, checking and reporting delivery discrepancies. Ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures, including confidentiality, health & safety, and data protection. Assist with any additional administrative duties as required by the Home Manager.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Rate of pay:

Starting at 13 per hour
