We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing essential administrative support. This position requires proficiency in various software applications and strong clerical skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily administrative operations of the dental laboratory.
Coordinate case intake, tracking, and delivery to ensure timely completion and client satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with dentists and lab technicians regarding case details, priorities, and expectations.
Input and manage case information in dental lab software systems
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, laboratory protocols, and industry standards.
Manage inventory of materials and equipment; liaise with vendors for timely procurement.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
Support quality control procedures and assist in addressing any technical issues or client concerns.
Train and supervise administrative staff, if applicable.
Handle billing, invoicing, and coordination with finance or insurance departments.
Skills
Dental background required
- certification in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or similar field preferred.
Previous experience in a dental laboratory or dental clinic setting is highly desirable but not essential.
Proficient in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive) for document management and collaboration.
Strong clerical skills with a keen eye for detail in data entry tasks.
Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with accounting software for basic accounting functions is advantageous.
Demonstrated administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
Exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Competent in using office equipment and computerised systems to streamline operations.
This is a part time position TBC potentially Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays with a potential to increase to full time in the future. All responsibilities above will be on a job Share basis with another Administrator who has 14 years service and will act as a mentor.
