We work in a busy, growing and fast paced GP surgery. Our primary focus is answering the phones. This includes booking appointments for our patients, answering any queries or questions from our patients and liaising with third party care providers. Our phone lines are extremely busy and the right applicants will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently in everything they do.

The applicants will need to be able to learn other aspects of this role as it is a varied role encompassing a wide spectrum of admin activities. Our admin team provide support to all our GP's and Nursing staff. This may be in the form of completing the tasks allocated, sending referrals off promptly so as to provide the best care for our patients and any other ad hoc tasks..

There are numerous activities that our staff undertake. Examples of these range from scanning documents and letters on to patients notes, coding relevant information on to the notes, Safeguarding officers who deal with all relevant tasks, Prescriptions clerk, Staff who register new patients and ensure this is done correctly etc. There are many responsibilities that sit with-in the admin team so the right applicants will need to be versatile and have a can do attitude.

Ideal wish list:

Knowledge of word and excel

Previous experience with-in the healthcare environment

Former customer service experience
