Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Who are we?



Welcome to Highfield House - our nursing and care home located in the beautiful coastal town of Whitehaven. Our highly qualified, experienced and compassionate team are ready and waiting to welcome you to the newest addition to the Kirklands family.

As soon as you arrive at Highfield House, you'll receive the warmest of welcomes. As the first facility in the Kirklands care group to also offer nursing care, you'll quickly become part of a wonderful family of residents, and staff who can provide the support you need to live comfortably and in dignity with us.

Highfield House provides residential care for up to 67 people of mixed physical and cognitive ability, as well as nursing care for a range of needs, including Dementia, Parkinson's disease and mental health issues.

We value our staff and will always seek to provide a happy work place. We know our jobs can get tough and together we will support each other through. We offer and support regular training and opportunity to develop and grow within the role.

Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all admin and financial work. Good IT skills, comfortable using databases, spreadsheets, and other office software. Reliable and dependable, someone the team can trust to keep things running smoothly. Calm under pressure, able to handle busy periods with a steady approach. Clear communicator, both in writing and in person. Flexible and adaptable, ready to support the needs of the home as they arise. Discreet and trustworthy, able to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally. Problem solver, someone who can think ahead and find practical solutions.
