The Role
We are seeking a reliable and committed
Administrator
to join our team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). This is a predominantly remote role with occasional travel required. As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our fostering team and building professional relationships with colleagues, including Supervising Social Workers, Support Workers, Foster Carers, Panel Members, and other agency services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee administrative tasks related to Foster Carer Training and Foster Carer Reviews.
Provide high-quality, flexible administrative support to meet the needs of foster carers, their families, and foster children.
Act as the first point of contact, managing calls and supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Handle internal and external communications and document processing to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain records and files in line with agency procedures, including updating computerised systems such as CHARMS.
Send out invitations, consultation forms, and reports, and follow up on required responses.
Support administrative processes for statutory checks and references.
Assist in organising training for foster carers and staff, including booking rooms, liaising with trainers, and managing attendance records.
Support monthly Support Groups by coordinating logistics and logging attendance.
Welcome newly approved carers and facilitate welcome boxes for new children.
Support meetings by preparing materials and taking minutes.
Assist with general office duties, including stationery management and equipment support.
Contribute to marketing and recruitment efforts to attract new foster carers.
Uphold confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
Adhere to Fostering UK's Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities policies.
Take responsibility for your own professional development through appraisals and relevant training.

About You - Essential Skills and Experience:
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
Previous experience in office administration or a secretarial role.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with foster carers, staff, young people, and external contacts.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with databases, including CHARMS.
Understanding of data protection regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and work independently while managing changing priorities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills to support our fostering community.
Passion for supporting vulnerable young people and promoting their wellbeing.
Commitment to challenging discrimination and promoting equality and diversity.
Flexibility to meet the organisation's needs and prioritise workload effectively.
Desirable Skills:
Previous administrative experience in fostering or local authority settings.
Experience in minute-taking.
