We are currently seeking 1 new Administrator/Indexer to join our Major Investigations Team. As an MIR Administrator/Indexer you will support Major Investigations involving significant volumes of evidence and unused material, including digital material generated during the enquiry. You will process material generated during the investigation, register it onto the case management system, research and index accordingly. You will provide a pivotal role in supporting the team to deliver high quality case files and documentation to enable the Environment Agency to take appropriate legal action prosecuting offenders

There is a requirement to undertake an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support. This may attract an additional payment, and full training will be available to support you with your incident role.

To undertake this role successful candidates will be expected to pass NPPV2 and SC vetting processes
The team
The Major Investigations team is part of the National Environmental Crime Unit who manage major and serious investigations into environmental offending, dealing with waste criminality and water-based investigations.




This is a growing area of criminality, and the Major Investigations Team has been established to specifically manage material generated during such investigations, dealing with it according to the appropriate legislation and promoting best practice across our organisation.

The base location for this role is Birmingham but we welcome flexible working patterns offering hybrid working, with an expectation of attending the office in Birmingham at least once a week.

This role will require travel from time to time therefore a full UK Driving Licence is required.
