We are currently seeking a skilled Administrative/Receptionist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing administrative support and managing our department\'s reception desk.

IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has robust, reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and administration.

The responsibilities will include:
  • Be the friendly face and helpful voice at our administration office, assisting staff and visitors with their inquiries while adhering to university and external regulations.
  • Organize and coordinate events, handling room bookings, catering arrangements, and travel and accommodation logistics for our dedicated staff.
  • Monitor and replenish stationary and refreshment supplies using the University Oracle system.
  • Maintain accurate reception information, updating procedures as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collate and circulate important data, managing spreadsheets that include telephone lists, building lists, and mail lists.
  • Occasionally engage in manual handling tasks and comfortably navigate the building using staircases
  • Assist with office moves and setting up of work stations for staff.
About you

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively resolve situations, while knowing when to seek assistance and collaborate with others.
  • Excellent organisational, communication (Written and verbally), and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with standard computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, coupled with experience using databases.
