Job Description

Weatherall Roofing Ltd is seeking a part-time, reliable and dedicated person to join our team.

The successful candidate will assist with varied clerical/administrative tasks necessary for the day to day running of our business and, ideally, will have experience of working as an administrator or secretary within either the roofing or construction industry.

Responsibilities:



Daily tasks to assist with the day to day running of the business:

Answer telephone calls and emails from customers, suppliers and others, handling company and client information safely and reliably. Maintain company records and the works schedule. Assist the Director and Works Manager with ad-hoc tasks. Administration of personnel files, absence and holiday reports, employee benefits. Assist with timesheets and the payroll process, liaising with the Director. Data entry, dictation and proof-reading of drafted documents. Record invoices and maintain an open invoice report. Occasional banking duties in town (depositing cheques). Diary management
Other tasks will be necessary from time to time.

Requirements and Experience:



The ideal candidate will:

Have a minimum of two years' experience in an administration/secretarial role, preferably within either the roofing or construction industry. Have good communication and teamwork skills. Have the ability to handle company and client information confidentially and reliably. Take responsibility, will be proactive and have the ability to combine their regular tasks with any ad-hoc tasks, prioritising successfully. Think independently, with the ability to find/solve potential problems, either before they become an issue or before they create a larger issue. Able to implement any agreed solutions. Always pay attention to detail. Already be used to meeting deadlines, having good time management skills. Have experience working with Microsoft 365, OneNote, Word, Excel, and Outlook/email. Adaptation to new systems/applications may also be required. Have basic bookkeeping knowledge and QuickBooks experience. Both are preferred but not required. Be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet the requirements of the business - able to provide additional duties, or hours, should they be required.
The candidate will have their own transport; there is no public transport to the office.

Standard hours per week as set out below but these can be discussed.
