I am working with a small London based consultancy specializing in Heritage and Archaeology with projects across the UK.
As part of ongoing growth, they have a need to internally strengthen and develop in two areas,
Invoicing/bookkeeping
and
Marketing
. As such they are looking for someone who can come on board and take on one or both of these areas on their behalf.
Whilst they are London based, this role can be fully remote (in UK) with the occasional need to come into London, perhaps once per week, once per month or less. However if you are London based then the office is very much open to you. This role could be filled by someone living in the Welsh valleys or from coastal Cornwall or from the heart of London. Right person, right background, right attitude is what counts.
The role can be full or part-time, again for the right person it can be structured up to suit but we would expect at least 3 days per week.
If you have worked for a small business then great, you understand the need to get stuck in and help out as required. If you have a Property background then again, that could be useful. Perhaps you have a small professional consultancy history.
So what is involved;
Marketing
- at present the MD looks after the company image and the website but he wants to add consistency and professionalism to this. We need to be more active on such as Linked In and other platforms making the outside world aware of new starters, new projects, developing engagement. You might get involved in setting up events, arranging team attendance and seminars etc. Blogs. Advertising. You will have the ability to put together a marketing plan, have ideas, make a difference.
Invoicing/Bookkeeping
- If you know your way round a simple accounting system, are used to creating invoices, chasing debtors. You will have a sold and fundamental administration background where you are organised, logical and adaptable. Payroll is not part of this role, that is handled externally.
Overview
Over and above any task specifics, we are fundamentally looking for a solid administration background that might be complemented by marketing or bookkeeping experience and understanding. We really want someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and desire to add real value to the business.
