Admissions Counsellor required for a modern private mental health clinic, providing care for people suffering from mental health issues ranging from substance misuse and other behavioural disorders to anxiety and depression.
This is a unique role for a dynamic, yet patient and empathetic candidate, where relationship management is key.
This role involves both evenings and weekend work on a rota system. The ideal candidate will also have a strong working knowledge of addiction (substance and behavioural/process), different forms of recovery including 12 step recovery and mental health conditions.
PROMIS Admissions Counsellor is responsible for making outbound calls to companies and professionals introducing our services to create referral pathways and taking inbound calls from prospective clients and their families and assisting them with the sometimes emotional process of entering into residential treatment. The successful candidate will be required to develop a comprehensive understanding of our service and the conditions we treat. They will also have the ability to remain calm, respectful and polite at all times when dealing with highly anxious/upset clients and be able to deliver excellent customer service. Another important aspect of this role is the development and maintenance of our social media engagement. This role bridges the clinic with its alumni in maintaining a vibrant and interesting social media presence.
The Admissions Counsellor will liaise with all other departments and will need excellent communication and organisational skills. This role involves both evening and weekend shifts. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Responsibilities:
Arrange admissions to PROMIS London and Kent
Client pre-assessment and liaise with the clinical team for each admission
Update the company CRM system with details of each call
Manage own portfolio of enquiries and follow on calls
Take on projects to connect with businesses and professionals to create referrals
Attend daily online team meeting
Take payments and arrange chauffeurs
Availability to travel to Kent and London if required
Work evenings and weekends on a rota system
Desirable skills:
Previous sales and marketing experience with an ability to close sales
Social media platforms management
Ability to work well within a team environment
Strong sense of professionalism and discretion/confidentiality required
Ability to remain calm with dealing with highly anxious clients
Understanding of recovery from alcoholism/addiction and mental health
Counselling skills
Background in recovery
