Applications are invited for the post of Admissions Business Lead in the Admissions & Applicant Services Department.


Royal Holloway, University of London is undertaking a major Project to replace its Student Record System (SRS) and transform the operating model for Student Study Services. The SRS underpins the entire student journey, from application through to graduation. This project is central to our commitment to delivering a modern, efficient, and student-focused experience. The new system will support all aspects of the student lifecycle, including Admissions and Student Recruitment, and will play a vital role in helping the University meet its strategic goals for student recruitment and student experience. This role will be a key member of the Project Team to implement the new system and deliver the new operating model.


We are seeking an experienced Business Lead to represent the Student Recruitment and Admissions function within the SRS Project. The post holder will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a system that enables a proactive, efficient, and customer-focused service for prospective applicants, current applicants, and internal stakeholders. With increasing competition to attract and convert high-quality students, it is essential that our systems are streamlined, responsive, and aligned with the expectations of a modern digital experience.


The Admissions Business Lead will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Admissions process are fully captured and embedded within the new system. They will work closely with stakeholders across the University - including academic departments, professional services, and external partners - to ensure the system meets operational needs and delivers a seamless experience for all users. This includes leading the review and redesign of business processes, gathering and translating requirements, and supporting user acceptance testing and implementation planning.


A key aspect of the role will be ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements, including UCAS and SQA/JCQ embargo protocols, and UKVI immigration policy in relation to Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and the Student visa route. The post holder will need a clear understanding of institutional and departmental objectives, as well as a sound knowledge of sector trends and developments in student recruitment systems. They will also be responsible for supporting change management and user adoption strategies, ensuring that staff are engaged, informed, and equipped to work effectively with the new system.
