Job Description

Reporting to: Head of Admissions Services

Contract: 12 months Fixed term contract (renewable)

Hours: Full time 40 hours a week (including weekends)

Location: Birmingham - occasional travel to other sites may be required as defined by business needs

Job purpose:

The postholder will help to plan and organise student admission interviews, assessments, and applications. This is an applicant-focused role and will require a level of service to students and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the Head of Admissions and Professional Services team, while ensuring the efficiency and effective delivery in accordance with the College's strategies and policies which influence leading-edge practices.

Responsibilities:

Assist with reviewing the development and implementation of Admissions related processes to ensure a consistent, transparent, and positive applicant experience. Reporting to the Admissions Supervisor, to be responsible for all aspects of the administration and processing of applications Providing advice and guidance on admissions and recruitment processes and procedures Use initiative, and creativity to ensure the appropriate processing of applications To work flexibly; on occasion away from the office and during weekend hours to ensure high levels of customer service To undertake specific responsibilities relating to key areas of Admissions as defined by the Admissions supervisor to include, but not restricted to:
-liaison with UKVI, maintaining awareness and understanding of UKVI policy and processes, English Language requirements, and application figures and trends

- Criminal Convictions/Confirmation and Enrolment

- To identify training needs related to Admissions processes and procedures and liaison with the Admissions Supervisor and implement as appropriate

To support the Admissions Supervisor in the generation and analysis of applications statistics, reports, and papers, including:
- Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the current recruitment position and application figures

- An understanding as to how best to use relevant data reports and to contribute to developing and updating reporting

To use awareness of figures to contribute to Admissions and Recruitment strategies Ensure high standards of customer service, including Providing a high standard of knowledge and awareness of the college's requirements and Admissions processes Representing Waltham International College at internal and external events To continuously review Admissions processes, procedures, and policy to ensure they meet the needs of applicants To identify where processes, procedures and/or policies can be developed and enhanced Establish working relationships with key contacts internally and externally, to best represent the department and the college as a whole To liaise with the London Admissions and LTU Admissions departments on student intake numbers To undertake professional and personal development that is appropriate to the role, and which will enhance performance, and to develop and maintain an awareness of the HE sectors and relevant legislation Have a good understanding and use of MS Excel and database systems To maintain and develop a CPD plan as a current and working document for self-developmental progression Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Admissions Supervisor or their nominee

Qualifications/Experience:

Degree essential or equivalent; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong team player Admissions Experience within an educational environment Enhanced DBS Ability to manage time effectively To prioritize workload To work as a team and individually To undertake training as required Effective communication, written and verbal across all stakeholders Excellent organisational skills Attention to detail Excellent Customer Service Skills The capacity to work professionally and quickly under stress and with tight deadlines. Ability to work effectively remotely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
