Overview



As a key member of the School's Medical Recruitment and Admissions team, you will primarily focus on activities related to the recruitment and admission of students to the Physician Associate and MBChB courses.



Collaborating with a wider School and Faculty team, you will be instrumental in implementing the School's admissions processes, ensuring strict adherence to both University and PSRB guidelines. Your responsibilities will include the accurate processing of applications and inquiries, as well as the timely completion of all pre-enrolment activities to achieve overall admissions targets.



We are looking to appoint a supportive, organised and motivated individual who is committed to driving improvements within our School. The successful candidate will have experience of maintaining information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and will have previously supported student or programme related processes. They will also be able to build effective relationships with staff and students and work flexibly to support the activities of the team.


Main duties and responsibilities




Support the effective and efficient delivery of the School's strategic recruitment plan Act at the contact for student entry checks; DBS, OH and the relevant authorities for overseas students, logging applications, activity and completion Monitor and maintain student admissions records, and coordinate information for student recruitment interviews and assessments Support the Admissions Manager in the organisation of student recruitment interviews and assessments Deal with internal and external queries in regard to the Schools admissions and entry requirements and legislation. In liaison with central admissions assist with the applications of candidates, decision processing, communication, and recruitment Co-ordinate the UCAT admissions test, ensuring evidence is provided for candidates with special circumstances Build and engage with local and University networks to ensure up to date knowledge of internal policy and procedures Cover is required on a small number of weekend days throughout the year for which time off in lieu will be made in line with the Universities HR policy Support University WP and outreach schemes in preparation for medical applications Support the wider team to take forward relevant recruitment, education, assessment and curriculum related projects and activities as required, working collaboratively across the team, to ensure that the School is able to deliver the full remit of its responsibilities in a timely and effective manner Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post
