ADR Tramper LGV Driver

(Mon - Friday)

Nights Out Required - Cardiff / Newport / Chepstow

The Role

We are looking for an experienced ADR driver who has a strong work ethic and a safety at all cost attitude to join our transport team.

The role will primarily involve the collection of Hazardous Material from a customer base spanning the whole of the UK.

Working knowledge of Tankers / Tippers / Tautliner / Tail-lift Trailers / Moffet operations an advantage.

Specific experience in the transporting of Acids, Electronics containing batteries including Lithium, Lead Acid, Ni-cad, WEE, garage waste streams including used oils, Antifreeze, rags etc also an advantage but training for the right candidate will be provided.

Standard hours @ 15.97

Weekly Overtime hours @ 23.95 (After 48hrs)

23.95 per hour Saturdays

31.94 per hour Sundays & Bank Holidays

Bank holidays worked also receive 9hrs Standard Bank holiday pay or a day in leu.

26.00 Tax Free night out payment.

10 per day food allowance.

Fully paid breaks.

Essential Requirements

LGV Drivers (Class 1) Tramping Monday to Friday. Weekend working maybe required occasionally.

ADR certificate (All classes except 1&7)

No more than 3 points.

A valid tachograph card.
2 year demonstrable Class 1 driving experience within an ADR environment.
A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.

A strong understanding of Hazardous Waste Notes and their completion.

Understanding of Hazardous Materials Compatibility of Loading.
A safety first mindset.

This role will require the candidate to regularly conduct manual handling, including but not limited to (moving and lifting heavy items, pallet truck operating, sheeting at height, working at heights on tanks, wearing restrictive protective safety equipment including chemical suits and respirators etc. This role is a very physical role.
