We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Adult Mental Health Care Assistant to join our team. In this role you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a care home setting and working within mental health would be beneficial. You will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those you assist, working closely with care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

Support clients with daily living activities, cleaning rooms, laundry, preparing meals, attending appointments. Provide medication administration as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in case management to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in care or within a nursing home environment in the UK is essential. Strong understanding of patient care principles, including medication administration and case management. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining client records. Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of clients and changing work environments.

Pay: 12.60 per hour
