Adult Nurse (Complex Care) - Bank

We are looking for a dynamic, compassionate, dedicated, humorous, supportive adult nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a Bank role to provide support to a small number of client.

We need an individual who can work within a team or independently with a background in management support. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out a full range of registered nurse duties, including review of assessments, planning, implementation, documenting and evaluation of the client's condition and care. It will also involve training and competencies checks of staff and supporting the clients' supervisors to support the staff team. It will involve working with professionals, and it will involve travel.

Take clinical ownership of supporting our client to deliver to high standards.

Documenting clients' symptoms and completing an in-depth care plan for support staff to care for the client and complete regular reviews.

Show empathy and can relate to all ages and medical conditions.

Assessing a client's needs and providing supporting care.

Identifying, monitoring, reporting and acting upon any changes in the client's symptoms and support.

Monitoring observations. Re-evaluate patient care plans and risk assessments as conditions change.

Use effective communication, written and verbal, with all levels of staff, including the multidisciplinary team, clients, and relatives.

Help to achieve and maintain morale for both staff and clients.

Responsible as a trained professional on staff medication competency education.

To complete supervisions, sign off competency in clinical care and support in training for team members to deliver clinical tasks and nurse-led care safely and to the highest standards.

Attend all mandatory training and ensure that updates are booked promptly.

Initiate own development.

Act as a mentor for untrained staff before appropriate training has been given.

Report any issues that arose during each shift to the Clinical Lead or Head of Service.

To be a car driver with a valid license and business insurance.

Shift patterns are 8am to 8pm for days and 8pm to 8am for Night shifts. There will need to be

Essential Experience:

Nurse Skills, Qualifications and NMC registration and PIN.

Preferred Experience:

Skilled in delivering clinical interventions such as Tracheostomy Care and Ventilation, Suction, Management and Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) feeding,

Full training can be provided.

Interest and experience in any of these areas brain injury, spinal injury and degenerative and neurological conditions, Learning Disabilities, Diabetes

Experience working in a community, hospital or other settings.

Experience recording accurate records; Ability to work as part of a team and individually; supportive and motivated; Great communication skills; Mentorship skills; Computer literate; Ability to cope in a crisis; Ability to demonstrate ethical values and ongoing professional and personal growth.
