About us:

Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside, with particular focus on women who are involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Our vision is for women and girls to feel safe, valued and in control of their own life choices.

From our women centres, we provide tailored support across a range of different pathways, including housing, domestic abuse, debt and unemployment. As a charity led by women, for women, we provide trauma informed, holistic support to help break cycles of trauma, abuse and re-offending, and evoke systems change.

This role will provide support on a 1-1 basis to women experiencing sexual exploitation, facilitation of drop ins, and delivering therapeutic group work. The role will also require finding innovation solutions to help women address immediate needs and 'crisis', supporting women with disclosures of sexual violence and the police process.

The ASE partnership also works to influence change to policy and practice at local and national levels, to systemically improve outcomes for women who are experiencing/have experienced sexual exploitation

There is a sustained focus on staff training, reflective practice and supervision appropriate to the specialist nature of the service and staff's individual roles and responsibilities.

Our core working hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm; Friday 9am to 4,30pm. On occasion there may be possible evening and weekend work.

Additional Responsibility:

As well as delivering on the ASE Project, this role will support women referred into Together Women to develop long lasting LifeSkills, through the direct delivery of the Barclays personal development modules. Funded by the Smallwood Trust and supported by Barclays Bank, this project aims to support any women who identify support needs relating to confidence building, budgeting and financial management, problem solving and overcoming setbacks. The LifeSkills modules will be delivered face to face within the women's centre either on a 1:1 basis or in a group setting.
