Adult Social Care Team Leader Incident Team

Leicester, United Kingdom

Job Description

Are you a Leicester leader? Take the next step and lead one of our thriving adult social work teams...
Leicester is a vibrant and diverse city. Naturally that means there are many people that need our support - for many different reasons. It's challenging, but we know we can help. That's because we have honed our practice and our processes over many years. We use evidence, and we form the right partnerships to have the biggest effect. We decide what we're going to do, how we're going to do it, and, above all, implement it well, with time for the change to be understood, and take real effect. And we use this stability to build better connections across this compact, easy to get around area to better know the people and families we help. When we put it all together, we can give lasting help, not long-term reliance.
We also give as much flexible and hybrid working as possible, look after your wellbeing and - wherever we can - keep your workloads in manageable limits.
What you'll be doing
As a team leader you'll support staff to find innovative solutions to issues and develop a culture that values kindness, respect, and fairness more than processes and transactions (as important as those may be). We have a wide range of training for social workers at every stage of their career. But more importantly, you will give them the time and encouragement to maximise what they can learn. That's part of what helps our social workers move onwards in their career.
Ensuring that we explore solutions that provide purpose, meaning and connection in people's lives; You'll be working positively with partners who are key to helping people live good lives; our colleagues in Housing and Health colleagues for example.
What you'll need
As a qualified social worker, with at least 6 months as a level 3, we know what you do is effective. We are always looking for new ways to improve and to innovate. You'll be a good communicator listening to your staff and implementing their ideas. It's important to maintain confidence in the practice you deliver and the outcomes you reach. Confronting challenges, balancing risk, and making sound decisions.
You will hold a driving licence and complete a DBS check with us.
So why not join us...
We're committed to recruiting a diverse and highly talented workforce as we continue to build a council that is fitting and representative of our great city. We are a value-based organization, and our values are confidence, clarity, respectfulness, fairness, and accountability. Do you want to work in an environment where every day you work together as a team to make people smile and enjoy being their best selves through the support you provide?
We've designed our recruitment process to put you at your ease, make you feel welcome and bring the best out of you.
