Approx. 30 hours per month. (Tuesday 10-3 and 2 Sundays a month 11-4 but flexibility available)

Hours will be discussed further at interview stage.

ROP: 12.60 per hour

Personal Assistant required to support a Man with a brain injury who lives at home with his wife.

Duties:

Looking for someone to go for walks, for chats and the occasional lunch.

There is no personal care required but he needs to be encouraged to eat & drink. Once a relationship/repour has been made then there may be the need to cover overnights.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

Experience of supporting adults or a good understanding of brain injury / memory difficulties would be an advantage. Moving & Assisting training may be required in the future (can be provided by employer).

Successful applicants will have to provide 2 references (one of which must be your current or most recent employer) and undergo a New PVG Disclosure at the employers cost.

Applicants must be flexible regarding hours of work and be able to work extra hours in the event of the employers health deteriorating as she will require extra support. In future, hours may increase and you must also be willing to cover holidays / sickness for other members of staff.
