This permanent, full-time position has a starting salary of 60,033 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.




We are excited to be hiring a new

Team Manager

(Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualified) to join our fantastic Elmbridge Locality Team based in Weybridge.


This role is open to

hybrid working

and as a team we split our time between working within the communities we support, working from home and collaborating together in the office. This role will require travel in the surrounding areas of Esher, Walton, Weybridge, Molsey, Cobham, Claygate, and Thames Ditton.

About the Role




Our Elmbridge Locality Team is one of eleven locality teams working across Surrey to support our adult residents, and older persons, with physical disabilities. We aim to promote people's independence and wellbeing through personalised care and support that focuses on their strengths and the outcomes they want to achieve, and enables choice and control.


We support those from the age of 18 upwards with eligible care support needs, providing advice and guidance, together with a vast range of community resources and support networks. We strive to safeguard those who require additional support whilst promoting independence and choice.


As the Team Manager you will lead a dynamic team, ensuring frontline care services are of a high quality and customer-focused, whilst taking responsibility for managing resources. Your responsibilities will also include putting measures in place for risk management and business continuity, ensuring CQC compliance, building relationships with partner agencies and service providers, and contributing to service improvement initiatives; all within the context of the Surrey Way.

Shortlisting Criteria




To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

Social work, occupational therapy or other relevant professional qualification Experience of successful management of staff, including managing performance and development while successfully addressing conduct, attendance, and performance capability issues Ability to manage budgets, with substantial experience of managing the delivery and improvement of social care Sound understanding of personalisation and strengths-based assessments Significant knowledge and/or experience of health and social care Direct experience of delivering adult social care services and a comprehensive and applied knowledge of adult social care legislation

Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK, access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area. Reasonable adjustments where needed will be made for successful applicants who have a disability or long-term health condition to enable them to fulfil the requirements of the job.
