Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Advanced Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. We are looking for our new team member to work alongside the leadership with their additional responsibilities.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Supervise and support children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment that encourages exploration and learning. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive approach to childcare and education. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Ability to drive is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings. A nurturing attitude with the ability to engage children in meaningful ways. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
