Were looking for a dedicated and caring Advanced Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team in general practice. This role offers the opportunity to support patients in a meaningful way, working alongside GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Main duties of the job
Clinical support: Take and record vital signs, phlebotomy, and assist with wound care.
Health promotion: Conduct NHS Health Checks, offer lifestyle advice, and support chronic disease reviews.
Administrative tasks: Update patient records, help to manage clinical supplies
Team collaboration: Work closely with GPs, nurses, and reception staff to ensure smooth patient care.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, ideally within primary care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • IT skills and familiarity with clinical systems
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Training in phlebotomy and wound care
  • Understanding of infection control, health and safety, and data protection policies
Desirable
