Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive clinical team at Caldergreen Medical Practice, located in the Hunter Community Health Centre in East Kilbride. The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As an ANP, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients, promoting health education, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Our team currently consists of 7 GP Partners, 3 ANPs, 2 Practice Nurse, a Health care assistant and an extensive administrative team. We also have working within the practice, a Pharmacist, a Community Link Worker, and we have access to locality treatment room services in the building, and an Urgent Care team who assist with house visits. We pride ourselves on providing high quality services, tailored to meet the needs of our 14,00 patients.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, developing appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols. Provide health education and counselling to patients and their families on disease prevention and health maintenance. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay updated on the latest medical practices, guidelines, and advancements in healthcare.

Skills

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on patient-centred care. Knowledge of current healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices. Compassionate approach towards patient care with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
