We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stocken, a

category C

Prison located in

Oakham





HMP Stocken consists of 1285 adult males.

You will be based in the Healthcare department and also will be required to visit in prison wings.

Hours




Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week 8am - 4pm

Salary





This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between 57,603 - 64,771 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing




As a Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will


Need expert clinical skills and demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems. You will provide clinical leadership for the mental health team. This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners. You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times. Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients. As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Registered Nurse - NMC only Evidence of Continued Professional Development Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent Recognised prescribing qualification Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
