We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and Experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to assess patient needs effectively. As a Triaging team member, you will play a crucial role in determining the urgency of patient care, ensuring that individuals receive the appropriate level of attention based on their medical conditions and provide minor illness support to the practice.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of patients to determine the severity of their conditions.
Prioritise patient care based on clinical urgency and established protocols.
Provide guidance and support to patients regarding their health concerns and treatment options.
Prescribe / Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments and interventions.
Collaborate with GP's, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families about health management and preventative care strategies.
Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in triage nursing and minor illness.
Requirements
Professional registration required NMC (must be an independent prescriber)
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess patient conditions.
Experience in patient care, preferably in a primary care setting.
Proficiency in medication prescibing and understanding of pharmacology.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
