Job Description

The post holder will:

Deliver the agreed Occupational Therapist responsibilities of the West Midlands Community Forensic LDA service, following relevant protocols and procedures. Offer highly-specialist OT support and interventions to families and carers, working across inpatient and community services. Manage their own caseload and work with other professionals/carers to help service users to reach recovery goals in the context of their LD and/or autism, risk, and social circumstances. To lead on Occupational Therapy service developments in line with service priorities and timescales, as agreed.

To supervise and manage clinical practice as required, including OT students and other staff working in their clinical area. The post holder will be supported by the respective organisations General Managers, Professional Leads, the Reach Out Collaborative and their current line manager.
