Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as an Advanced Orthopaedic Practitioner.



You can join the role at Band 7 if you are an experienced senior nurse who already holds the Clinical Assessment and/or Diagnostic Reasoning modules at degree or master's level.



Alternatively, if you do not yet hold one of these core academic modules at these levels, you can start at Band 6 and receive full support to complete one. Upon successful completion of your first academic module, you will be upgraded to a Band 7.



The Advanced Orthopaedic Practitioner role is an extended scope practitioner working autonomously in the field of Orthopaedics at an advanced level performing tasks that would have previously been undertaken by medical and or technical staff.



This role includes acting in a way to promote early effective discharge of patients of elective and trauma patients to enable effective use of beds within the speciality.



You will demonstrate highly developed specialist knowledge and skills in orthopaedics to support patients with varied and complex clinical needs within the acute setting.
