Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic clinical pharmacist looking to work within a well-respected Clinical Team in a role that offers opportunities to develop prescribing clinics?



Working across East Integrated Healthcare Community (IHC) and the wider dermatology services across the Health Board, this role is ideal for a pharmacist looking to maximise existing dermatology clinical knowledge and prescribing skills, whilst also expanding clinical leadership experience. You will be supported by the Dermatology Clinical Network to contribute to audit and clinical governance developing guidelines and clinical pathways. There will be ample opportunity to expand the clinical aspect of the role and this is actively encouraged by the consultant team and specialist nurses.



As a role model advanced practice pharmacist, you will have opportunities to develop yourself and to support and mentor junior members of the team.



As a team, we have a strong commitment to advancing pharmacy clinical practice and embedding effective medicines optimisation systems into patient care across the whole system.



The successful candidate will play an influential role in the patients care pathway whilst building upon proven clinical skills through team leadership, multidisciplinary and collaborative working, both within primary and secondary care.



Lead a safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service to the allocated area.



Undertake professional and clinical pharmacist's duties.



Provide expert pharmaceutical advise and support within both primary and secondary care services as required.



Develop, encourage and promote evidence-based, cost effective use of medicines.



Assist in providing clinical training and supervision of pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.



To be involved in the development and delivery of practice research, service and quality improvement.



Develop policies, protocols and guidelines within allocated area.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
