About the role
What's the Role About?
This full-time, permanent position places you at the heart of key decision-making within the CHC framework. You'll be instrumental in shaping outcomes for the Local Authority, representing its position in assessments and disputes, and supporting the wider Adult Social Care (ASC) workforce. Working closely with ASC colleagues, the CHC Team ensures high-quality assessments are carried out in line with the CHC Framework making sure those eligible for funding receive it at the right time. Collaboration is key, and we're looking for motivated, ambitious, and inspiring professionals to join us on this journey.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead CHC assessments (DST meetings), confidently advocating for the Local Authority
• Prepare clear, evidence-based position statements and represent the LA in dispute processes
• Review complex evidence objectively and make informed decisions that support the LA's perspective
• Provide day-to-day support to ASC colleagues navigating CHC challenges
• Deliver engaging CHC training sessions, workshops, and ongoing support

Any-Desk:
As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
You'll be confident in applying the CHC Framework and bring a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to evidence-based decision-making. You'll be ready to be a key voice in shaping outcomes and driving positive change.
To be eligible, you must:

• Be a qualified Social Worker (holding a social work degree or equivalent)
• Be registered with Social Work England
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle

You'll be a natural communicator, comfortable working independently and collaboratively. You'll bring your knowledge of legislation, statutory guidance, and the CHC Framework to support adults and their families in a meaningful way. Persistence, adaptability, and a solution-focused mindset are essential.

About the Service Area
