Advanced Teaching and Learning Assistant
to join our team.
As an Advanced Teaching and Learning Assistant, you will support the head of Sixth Form plan and deliver a bespoke y14 preparation for adulthood curriculum. The curriculum will cover: work skills, citizenship, sport and leisure and transition to independent adulthood.
Bespoke requirement
Experience of supporting or delivering EPQ or similar project / portfolio based qualification
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and organise resources for a subject area or pastoral responsibility, with support from the Head of Sixth Form.
Deliver high-quality support in literacy, numeracy and across the curriculum.
Use your specialist knowledge to ensure pupils receive tailored and meaningful learning opportunities.
Provide classroom cover and support for colleagues when required.
Assist with planning and delivering personalised support plans.
Support pupils with UCAS applications, apprenticeship paperwork and personal statements.
Monitor, evaluate and record pupil progress, ensuring accurate use of assessment tools.
Liaise effectively with parents, carers, staff and our transdisciplinary team.
Attend to students' personal, social, health and welfare needs as required.
Lead on curriculum resources, activities and displays within your area of responsibility.
Contribute to Sixth Form events including induction, results day, parents' evenings, and work-related learning opportunities.
