Advertisement Manager - Digital Labels & Packaging
Whitmar Publications Ltd is a leading B2B publisher for the print and packaging industries, delivering focused and high-quality editorial both in print and online. Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Advertising Manager to join our team. In addition to publishing market leading titles and online channels we also organise a number of face-to-face events, industry awards ceremonies and conferences.
Managing your magazine - from start to finish you will promote our products to existing, warm and potential clients. You will be selling classified, display/ online advertising and event sponsorship, building excellent relationships and driving revenues forward. You will have an extensive database of clients and this role will involve increasing revenues from some existing clients and also contacting potential new clients. The role includes 2 days home working and 3 office based. Face to face client meetings will be targeted and these will involve some travel and occasional overnight stays. Some of these will be international trips.
We expect revenues from our digital products and services to increase and our ideal candidate will have experience in digital sales and development. You will work closely with the marketing team to create and execute sales strategies, conduct marketing research and identify potential clients. This is a varied and exciting opportunity and ideal candidates will have a B2B media sales background with an understanding of the printing and publishing industry.
Responsibilities
Management of Digital Labels & Packaging magazine print edition, digital portfolio and awards.
Driving revenues through existing account growth and new business sales across all platforms.
Identify and qualify potential new clients through marketing research and networking.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Pitch the benefits of digital advertising and customize solutions to meet clients needs.
Coordinate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the business.
Experience
You will be a motivated self-starter and possess a proven track record in B2B media sales.
Proven experience in digital sales.
You will be creative and look outside the box to generate revenues.
The ability to build effective conversations with all walks of life.
Be able to communicate with the ability to think on your feet.
Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Have the energy and enthusiasm for your role and focused on hitting targets.
Team Player.
Able to manage own time and the magazine/website.
Able to work under pressure and with deadlines.
Strong knowledge of online sales and advertising options.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Self-motivated and target driven.
Familiarity with CRM software would be an advantage.
We offer:
A competitive salary circa 35000 depending on experience with an uncapped commission scheme. Commission is paid on an annual basis along with target-based bonus payable on each issue.
