We're looking for an experienced sales manager to join the team and help guide the strong sales department, guiding them through the changing future.
Alongside Farmers Guide, there is another print title, Fruit & Vine, plus online platforms for them both and our online classified sales brand, FarmAds. With so much on offer, it's vital the successful applicant can manage various deadlines, handle local and national client relationships and keep sales on track.
This is an exciting role that will allow you to bring in your own ideas, experience and style to take our brands to new levels. As a small business, you'll be a big part of our team and your involvement will be essential.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow an existing sales team
Ensure commissions and targets are in line with the business aims
Work with our creative teams in marketing and editorial to ensure we're producing the best product possible
Monitor sales performance, forecasting, and revenue growth
About You
The sales team and business is already very productive, so we need someone with experience to hit the ground running. You'll have managed teams previously and understand print and digital advertising.
Essential:
Proven success in media or advertising sales (B2B experience ideal).
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects.
A genuine interest in the agricultural industry or willingness to learn.
Experience with digital advertising, sponsorships, or events.
