Role overview

This is an exciting new role for a results-driven advocacy and enablement specialist that will enable us to build and nurture stronger relationships with both Access customers and internal sales colleagues.

We are looking for a creative customer marketer to support the growth of our customer advocacy program in the non-profit and education division, as well as to play a vital role in enabling our sales teams to achieve ambitious pipeline generation targets.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Content and Engagement, you will support revenue growth, customer retention and brand visibility by creating compelling customer stories and evidence materials, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and supporting sales with empowering resources throughout the buyer journey.

The role requires excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage a variety of stakeholders in a confident and motivational way. You must have a proven commercial mindset whilst also being able to bring customer stories to life through words and video. The ideal candidate will be creative, possess strong writing skills and have previous experience working in a customer-facing role as well as knowledge of sales processes and enablement tools. You will be expected to work closely with other marketing specialists including demand generation, digital, creative design and customer advocacy. The ability to thrive in a high-energy, varied and virtual team environment is a must.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Manage the customer advocacy program for the non-profit and education division, ensuring all assets are up-to-date and available to support sales conversations
  • Identify opportunities to develop new testimonials and case studies, with a particular focus on driving improvements in conversion through the sales cycle and promoting the Access brand
  • Work collaboratively with sales colleagues to better understand customer journeys and roll out additions to the existing stack of enablement materials and toolkits
  • Lead in the organisation, execution and ROI measurement of sales enablement activity, such as campaigns and calling days, to support delivery of vital sales-generated pipeline
  • Seek out new creative techniques to bring customer stories to life; working with both in-house and external designers and videographers to create compelling materials that are on-brand and strengthen new business and cross-sell opportunities
  • Partner with brand & comms colleagues in central marketing to promote advocacy across the organisation and engage customer reference candidates
  • Manage or support customer experiences, including speaking opportunities, awards, networking events and advisory boards
  • Support customer marketing requirements, such as newsletters and product updates
  • Amplify compelling customer content through a variety of channels, including social media, the Access website and digital PR
  • Work with customer success colleagues to monitor review sites and own a proactive plan of engagement activity based on a close understanding of customer sentiment
Your skills and experiences might also include:
  • Experience in B2B customer advocacy programmes or customer marketing roles
  • Creativity, curiosity, flexibility and a self-starter
  • Hands-on experience of using tools for email marketing, website content management, CRM and KPI reporting
  • Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to methodically manage multiple projects and timelines and keep stakeholders informed
  • Must be experienced in managing and cultivating customer and colleague relationships, with a customer-first yet commercial mindset
  • First-hand experience of funnel metrics and sales cycles to ensure a laser focus on enabling connected teams to increase leads and conversion into won deals
  • Knowledge and understanding of the production, storyboarding and briefing process that sits behind a successful video and photoshoot would be an advantage
  • Be a great partner with external and in-house agencies, while being a strong directional client
  • Excellent listening, empathy and interpersonal skills to develop authentic relationships both internally and with our customers
  • Results-driven with analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of a variety of activity
