We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered A&E Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing health challenges.

Duties



Conduct rapid and thorough assessments of patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions. Triage patients effectively, prioritising care based on clinical urgency. Administer emergency treatments, medications, and intravenous therapies while closely monitoring patient responses. Provide immediate life support and assist in resuscitation procedures when required. Collaborate with doctors, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective emergency care. Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant patient records and documentation. Offer clear communication, reassurance, and emotional support to patients and their families during high-stress situations. Educate patients and carers on follow-up care, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies. Participate in audits, training, and continuous professional development to maintain high standards of emergency care. Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and safeguarding policies within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Skills



Strong emergency care skills, with the ability to triage and prioritise patients in critical conditions. Proficient in rapid assessment and intervention for a wide range of acute and life-threatening situations. Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments. Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional while delivering care in fast-paced and stressful situations. Skilled in administering emergency treatments, medications, and life support procedures with precision and accuracy. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple patients simultaneously while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Requirements



Current registration with the NMC as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) Minimum 1 year of experience within the NHS or similar healthcare environment (required) Strong knowledge of emergency care procedures and acute clinical management Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Must pass an enhanced DBS check and drug screening
