Supercraft Ltd. is a precision aerospace engineering facility in the UK, which manufactures components and assemblies for aircraft industry around the world, with major customers such as Airbus, Leonardo and BAE Systems.
As a Painter, you will apply coating materials to a range of aerospace metallic components using spray, brush, dip or other coating processes, ensuring they achieve the customer specification requirements within manufacturing deadlines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
PRODUCTION
Deliver output targets in line with work to lists.
Interpret engineering planning documents and specification sheets, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where provided.
Understand coating and cure times, scheduling work to meet manufacturing deadlines.
Ensure equipment used is of sufficient quality to manufacture to customer specification, reporting any that is not prior to use.
Ensure the job card is signed and stamped for prior operations before any work is started.
Apply masking or other protective substances.
Remove excess, mix and prepare coating material for application.
Use spray, brush, dip or other coating processes to apply coating materials to a range of aerospace metallic components in accordance with engineering and customer specifications.
Bake parts as required.
Clean and ensure parts are of an acceptable standard before submitting to next production stage.
Document actions by completing records (route cards, etc.) accordingly.
