Galebreaker was established by the Scudamore family 40 years ago, and today, is still a family-owned business based in rural Herefordshire. Galebreaker is a leading fabric-engineering company, specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality, custom-made products for the agricultural and industrial sectors.

From our state-of-the-art production facility in Ledbury, we develop advanced ventilation and weather protection systems distributed to customers around the world. These bespoke products significantly improve livestock welfare and productivity.

About the Role



This role delivers exceptional after-sales technical support that strengthens customer satisfaction - customer experience is at the forefront of what Galebreaker does and this role is extremely customer-focused.

The After-Sales Technical Support Specialist provides expert guidance on product issues, generates revenue through remedial work quotations, and supports Department administration.

Role and Responsibilities



Provide technical product support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits using clear, non-technical language Proactively follow up with customers requiring Health Check Services building a pipeline of service opportunities Prepare and issue quotations for remedial work, repairs, or replacement parts Maintain accurate records of technical support cases, service visits, and customer interactions. Advise and prepare quotations for UK customers on basic products Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently, when needed Report back on customer issues, providing suggestions for improvements Contribute into an annual remedial resource plan

Skills, knowledge & experience required



The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with both customers and colleagues.

Experience in technical support, after-sales service, customer service, or a related role. Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and troubleshooting steps. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in administrative tasks, order processing, and using CRM or ERP systems. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A problem-solving mindset and a customer-centric approach.
