A fantastic job opportunity has risen to become apart of our Out of School Club for 4 - 11 year olds

Working hours would be 2:30 - 6:00 Monday to Friday during term time (17.5 hrs)

during the school holiday we run a Holiday club which will be shifts between the hours 8 - 6 (40 hours a week)

duties would include;

Be a reliable member of the team, working co-operatively and with flexibility. To assist in planning and organising activities and opportunities - suitable for the age range of the children - that inspire and extend children's learning. To ensure that children, whilst in the Out of School/Holiday Club, have access to appropriate activities/equipment to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development giving consideration to families ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds. To work in partnership with parents, encouraging them to be involved in the Clubs. To advise the Out Of School/Holiday Club Room Leader of any concerns e.g. regarding children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary. To liaise with external agencies and professionals as required. To support the Out of School/Holiday Club Room Leader in ensuring that all records are maintained. To be alert to issues of Safeguarding/Child Protection ensuring that the welfare of all the children attending the Out of School/Holiday Club is promoted and safeguarded and to report any Child Protection concerns to Acorns Early Years Centre's Child Protection Officer. Following Acorns Early Years Centre's procedures for the positive management of children's behaviour. To attend Parents Evenings, be involved in fundraising events and assist with the promotion of Acorns Early Years Centre as required.
Requirements for the job;

childcare qualification level 2 minimum

Previous childcare experience

First aid certificate - desirable not essential.
