Empower Active CIC is a passionate, community-focused organisation dedicated to inspiring children and young people to live active, healthy, and happy lives. We work in schools across Worcestershire delivering high-quality physical education, wrap-around care, and health & wellbeing programmes.
Alongside our school-based work, we also run a number of successful wrap-around clubs and exciting holiday camps, packed with sports, arts & crafts, baking, and creative activities. Our aim is to provide safe, fun, and engaging environments where children can thrive, try new things, and build confidence.

The role as After School Club Assistant includes:
Planning and delivering daily activities in a safe and happy environment
Being responsible for safeguarding children
Preparing a healthy snack / small meal
Liaise with parents
Manage the booking system for the club
Working alongside other staff on the club
Continuously promote the welfare of the children in your care.
Show high levels of energy, enthusiasm and professionalism, acting as a suitable role model for the children.
Ensure all policies and procedures on site are adhered to by yourself and the children in your care, including all health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
Hold good level of life skills for other ad-hoc duties such as cleaning, equipment maintenance etc).
The hours:
3.00pm - 6pm Monday to Friday (15 hours)
Planning & Shopping (2.5 hours)
Extra hours available in the school holidays on sports and activity camp
Empower work with schools in Worcestershire providing high quality PE, physical activity, extra curricular clubs and health & wellbeing programmes. Wrap Around Care is a new and exciting addition to Empower Active's services, and we need the right person to join us in this exciting role!
Essential Requirements:
A relevant childcare qualification
Experience of working with children and delivering activities.
Good organisation and communication skills, candidates must be confident in their ability to lead a group of children and not shy away from responsibility.
A flexible team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp.
Be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about developing children through play and activity.
Able to change and tailor delivery of structure of a session according to age and ability.
Desirable:
Holds a level 3 early years qualification
Experience taking sole charge of a group of children.
Meets standard minimum operations qualifications (First Aid at work, Paediatric First aid 12 )
DBS on the update service

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.30-13.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 17.5 per week
