Grade: Aquinas Grade A3.1

Full time salary range: 25,434.00 p.a.

Actual Pro-Rata salary: 7,074.76 p.a.

Hourly Rate: circa 13.55

Hours: 12 hrs per week, 3 hrs per day Monday to Thursday 15:00- 18:00

Weeks: 38 weeks per year

St Nicholas Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Afterschool club assistant to be part of our team. Previous experience of working with children is an advantage but enthusiasm and willingness to work flexibly as part of a team are essential. We will expect you to undertake training in First Aid, food hygiene and safeguarding following your appointment.

The hours for this role to be worked as follows: 15:00-18:00 4 days a week.

The successful candidate will be required:

To assist the leader in providing a caring, safe and secure environment. To Be adaptable to different ages, to be non-discriminatory. To assist in planning and providing an appropriate range of activities for children. To provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities. To provide extra support for pupils with English as an additional language.

The successful candidate will have:

Good communication skills. Good IT skills, and use of Microsoft Office applications would be beneficial but not a requirement. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks. Good attention to detail. Good sense of humour. Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team. A friendly, helpful, caring, and flexible approach. Open-mindedness, patience, and compassion. A commitment to equal opportunities. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all school matters. High levels of self-confidence. Ability to relate well to other professionals.
