Hours - 32.5 hours per week working 11am - 6pm Monday-Friday, All Year Round.
Salary: 10.00 - 12.21 per hour
Rushden Day Nursery are looking for an After School Club Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.
Within this role you will be supporting the nursery from 11am-3pm with lunch cover throughout the setting followed by caring for our after school club children from 3pm-6pm. Our after school club can take children up to the age of 12 years old and plan activities based on their interests and development.

After School Club Assistant main duties and responsibilities*:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
Observe and support children's development, update the EyLog system and children's learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

As After School Club Assistant, you will need:
Undertaking a full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification - desirable
Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
Over 6 months experience of working with children - essential
Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
