We are seeking a dynamic and organised Manager for a small Afterschool Club. The Post holder will undertake various organisational and administrative tasks. The main purpose of the job will be to lead the small team in the planning, preparing and delivery of care and imaginative activities suitable to the needs and interests of the primary aged children who attend the Club.
The role will be part-time and during the school term. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday: 2-30 - 6 pm with an additional 1.5 hour weekly for staff meetings and administrative responsibilities. Totalling 19 hours. Hourly rate of pay is 14.63 per hour
Qualifications Required:
Minimum requirement - SVQ Level 3 in Play work/ Childcare and willing to work towards a qualification for registration of Lead Practitioner/ manager i.e. Play work Level 4 , BA or PDA- Childhood Practice (SCQF 9).
Duties
Manage the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of service
Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management to maintain a motivated team
Maintain health and safety standards in line with regulations and club policies
Handle member enquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive relationships with parents and scholls staff

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Organisational and administrative abilities
Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, parents, schools and external partners
Ability to promote children's rights
Ability to provide and facilitate safe and creative play
