Piano Afterschool Club Leader (Wednesdays Only)

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic piano teacher to lead our afterschool piano club for primary-aged children (5-11 years old). The club includes a mix of complete beginners and students working towards their Grade 1, using the John Thompson piano method.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver fun, engaging group piano sessions using John Thompsonbooks. Support beginners and early learners on their musical journey. Take an accurate register each session. Dismiss children safely in line with our safeguarding procedures. Communicate with school staff and parents where appropriate. Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere for all children.

Who We're Looking For:

Someone confident and passionate about music education. Experience teaching children aged 5-11 in small groups or class settings. Organised and reliable, with good classroom management skills. A warm and approachable personality who can make learning fun. Minimum of ABRSM Grade 5 in Piano (or equivalent) - essential. Knowledge of safeguarding practices (training provided if needed).

Desirable:

Piano teaching qualifications or equivalent experience. Previous use of John Thompsonmethod books. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
