Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our After School team in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children's development through play and structured activities. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to foster their growth and creativity.

Hours Needed: 2:45pm - 6:00pm Monday -Friday

Duties

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging them to express themselves and interact positively with peers. Manage behaviour in a constructive manner, using positive reinforcement techniques to guide children's actions. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of all children. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Support the overall objectives of the nursery or childcare setting in line with early childhood education principles.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A background in Early Childhood Education or relevant qualifications needed Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Leadership qualities to inspire and guide children during activities while managing group dynamics effectively. A genuine passion for childcare and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for all children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.60 per hour
