Reports to: Aftermarket Supervisor



Location: Manchester M11 / Onsite /Fulltime



Position: 6 Months FTC (With the opportunity to go Permanent)

The Aftermarket Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting customers and the sales team by providing technically sound, value-added solutions centered around the company's product offerings. This is a collaborative, team-based role that requires strong communication, engineering acumen, and problem-solving capabilities. The position supports pre-sales activities, offers technical consultancy, and contributes to strategic initiatives and product development.

Key Accountabilities:



Customer Support & Engagement




Take ownership of managing a busy workload Provide accurate and timely quotations Process orders efficiently Triage early-stage enquiries to assess opportunities.



Cross-functional Collaboration




Collaborate with internal teams to offer tailored solutions. Collaborate with marketing to align on campaigns and initiatives. Contribute to cross-departmental project teams and strategic initiatives.



Documentation & Process Development




Maintain technical documentation and support the continuous development of selection software. Ensure consistent documentation and communication across the team. Support the development of internal procedures and best practices.



Strategic & Leadership Support




Collect data and insights for reporting to senior leadership. Contribute to special projects as required.



What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Education and Experience





HNC/Degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience Previous work experience in engineering/manufacturing within an industrial environment. Experience in sales or technical service roles within HVAC or pump-related industries.



Technical Skills




Strong understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to interpret technical specifications and schematics. Proficiency in pump selection software (preferably Armstrong or similar tools). High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of root cause analysis.



Soft Skills




Keen eye for detail Be able to prioritise in a busy department Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset. Self-motivated, action-oriented, and capable of working independently or in teams.
