We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Afterschool assistant to provide personalised educational support to students in various subjects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy fostering a love of learning and helping students achieve their academic goals.
Duties
To collect children from nearby preschool and primary school settings
Create a supportive and engaging learning environment
To provide a safe and secure environment
Plan activities in relation to the age group of the children
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Skills
Strong background in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
A minimum of Level 2 in childcare or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
Experience working with children in day nurseries or other settings.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on student needs.
A valid driving licence is essential
Job hours to be discussed at interview, this will be an afternoon position and may be required to work longer hours during the holiday period.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 10.00-12.50 per hour
