Job Overview

We're excited to launch a brand-new Afterschool Club in the heart of Thornhill Village! This new provision will offer a safe, fun and engaging space for primary school-aged children.

As a Play Assistant, you'll help deliver a variety of creative, active, and inclusive activities for primary school children aged 4 to 11. From arts and crafts to games, you'll support children's play and development while ensuring their wellbeing and safety.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in a range of play-based activities Help set up and tidy away equipment and resources Assist with preparing and serving snacks, accommodating dietary needs Support positive behaviour and encourage social interaction Ensure a safe and welcoming environment at all times Work collaboratively with the club leader and other staff

Skills

Experience working with children A warm, enthusiastic, and patient personality Good communication and teamwork skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare A relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
