confident, caring, and organised After School Club Leader
to take charge of our after school provision at a school in
Hemel Hempstead
. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, leading activities, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment at the end of the school day.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the daily running of the after school club
Plan and deliver a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities -- including creative play, sports, arts and crafts, and group games
Ensure all children are cared for in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
Promote good behaviour, teamwork, and respect among children
Liaise effectively with parents, school staff, and management
Manage club setup, registration, and tidy-up
Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures consistently
Support and guide any assistant staff or volunteers as needed
Requirements
Experience working with children in a childcare, school, or club setting
Strong leadership and organisational skills
A warm, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Childcare or playwork qualifications (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (can be provided if not held)
