Demonstrable experience of civil engineering construction.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

CSCS.

Relevant degree or equivalent level of qualification.

As an Agent, you will be involved in the planning, delivery and completion of compounds and shafts ahead of tunnel construction as well as permanent structures. You will manage a team to ensure safe, efficient delivery on time and in budget, interfacing with stakeholders including designers, statutory authorities, community and other delivery teams.



Key Responsibilities



Ensuring construction to the highest quality standards, to ensure that the completed tunnel is suitable for transmission of drinking water.

Accurately schedule and budget all works and ensure delivery in accordance with the agreed targets, identifying strategies to improve schedule and cost performance.

Work collaboratively with works managers, foremen, supervisors and workforce to maintain a culture across the site which is aligned with the project purpose and values.

Develop the construction methodology, management and monitoring plan, meeting all regulations, including H&S and environmental requirements.

Develop detailed site programmes, assessing actual productivity achieved and review weekly.

Identify construction risks, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.

Review design information and work collaboratively with the design team to ensure designs are properly coordinated and identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, safety, quality or programme benefits.

Understand subcontractor's contract conditions, developing job specific subcontract conditions and manage the subcontractors account with the Construction Manager.

Monitor subcontractor and supply chain performance, quality control.

Manage inspection and acceptance of works, handover to operations/delivery teams.
