C.L. Jones Ltd is a long-established supplier of quality aggregates, serving the construction, landscaping, and building materials sectors across North Wales. Following the expansion of our operations, we're now recruiting an Aggregate Plant Operative to join our busy Bangor production site.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00. Occasional Saturday work may be required during peak demand (paid overtime).
About the role
As an Aggregate Plant Operative, you will play a key role in keeping our bagging and dispatch operations running smoothly. You will operate machinery, handle materials safely, and ensure high standards of product quality and site safety are maintained throughout the working day. Full training will be provided, and you will report directly to the site management team.
The successful applicant will have:
Comfort working in an outdoor or industrial environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Desirable (training can be provided):
Previous experience as a production, plant, or warehouse operative
Forklift or loading shovel certification
Experience in aggregate, quarry, or construction materials production
Basic mechanical or maintenance skills
Duties will include:
Operating and maintaining aggregate bagging and weighing machinery
Loading and unloading bulk materials using telehandler or forklift equipment
Checking product quality and packaging standards before dispatch
Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
Following all Health & Safety and environmental procedures
Working as part of a close-knit team.
